Endoscopic Technician *Per Diem Providence Anchorage at Providence Health and Services summary: The Endoscopic Technician provides technical assistance during endoscopic procedures under supervision, supporting surgeons and gastroenterologists while ensuring patient safety and comfort. Responsibilities include patient care tasks such as positioning, vital sign monitoring, and clerical duties like stocking supplies and answering phones. This per-diem role requires at least six months of experience and certification in basic life support, serving within a healthcare facility focused on patient-centered care. Description Under supervision, the Endoscopy Technician safely performs endoscopic procedural assistance and ensures a safe environment. A variety of patient care duties include positioning, patient observation, taking vital signs, and other duties that assist the Registered Nurse. Under close supervision, technical endoscopic assistance to General Surgeons and Gastroenterologists as well as other Endoscopic providers and staff will be provided. Additional responsibilities include facilitating patient flow and transportation, stocking rooms, ordering supplies, answering phones, and performing a variety of clerical tasks. Required Qualifications: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association upon hire. 6 months of Endoscopy Procedure Technician experience. Preferred Qualifications: Coursework/Training: Completion of a certified nursing course, medical assistant course, or other related health care class. 1 year General clerical and patient care experience in a health care setting.
