Exercise Specialist (Cardiac Rehab) at Providence Health and
Services summary: This part-time Exercise Specialist in Cardiac
Rehab provides direct patient care involving assessment,
intervention, education, and supervision of exercise therapy for
cardiac patients. The role requires a Bachelor's degree in Exercise
Science or related field and knowledge of cardiac medication,
exercise physiology, and patient counseling. The position is
located onsite at Providence Alaska Medical Center in Anchorage and
supports comprehensive healthcare delivery in cardiac
rehabilitation. Description Provides direct patient care, assists
with coordination of patient education and activity planning.
Responsible for patient assessment, intervention, evaluation,
education and supervision of ECG (telemetry and non-telemetry), and

Bachelor’s Degree in Exercise Science or related field. Upon hire:
National Provider BLS - American Heart Association 1 year
experience with emphasis on knowledge of cardiac medication,
exercise physiology, nutrition, counseling techniques and patient
education. Preferred Qualifications: Master's Degree in Exercise
Science or related field. Upon hire: Certification by the American
