Alaska, 99669! Job Title: Registered Nurse - Cardiac Services
Profession: RN Specialty: Cardiac Services Duration: 13 weeks
Shift: Day shift Hours per Shift: 8 hours Experience: Minimum of
two (2) years nursing experience in cardiac cath or interventional
radiology. License: Current Registered Nurse license in Alaska.
Certifications: CPR certification through the American Heart
Association (AHA); ACLS certification through AHA upon hire.
Must-Have: Graduate of a school of nursing. Experience with
patients undergoing moderate sedation. Demonstrates clinical
competence in cardiac physiology/pathology, 12-Lead EKG
interpretation, and physiologic monitoring. Knowledge of pacemaker
operations and ability to use radiographic equipment as assigned.
Description: Performs the primary functions of a Registered Nurse
in assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating the care of
all patients in Cardiac Cath Lab Services. Responsible for meeting
established standards of Intensive Nursing Practice. Manages all
assigned personnel, supplies, and equipment in the unit. Promotes
teamwork with physicians and personnel of other departments. Under
general supervision, performs professional nursing, technical, and
administrative duties as they relate to cardiac services. Performs
circulate, scrub, and hemodynamic monitoring duties during
diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures. Provides care,
assessment prior, during and post-procedural care, and instruction
to patients. Prepares and maintains all pertinent information
related to procedures. Some weekends may be required based on
staffing needs. Floating to other units/departments is not
identified at this time. Dress code is scrubs. This is a new
service line. Scheduling details include Monday to Friday with call
requirements. Comments on scheduling or time off requests can be
