TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified
PACU/Pre-Post Op RN in Anchorage, Alaska, 99508! Job Title:
Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Post Anesthesia Care
Unit (PACU) Duration: 13 weeks Shift: One is three 12-hour shifts
from 0900-2130 and the other is three 12-hour shifts from
1000-2230. Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum 2 years of
PACU experience required License: Permanent RN license required
Certifications: ACLS, PALS, BLS Must-Have: Candidates without these
skills will not be considered for the role. PACU experience is
required. Description: The role involves managing patients in the
recovery room post-procedure. The nurse will be responsible for the
recovery of deep sedation patients. Management of post-procedural
devices will be necessary. The patient-to-nurse ratio is 2:1. The
unit is staffed with a charge nurse and several staff RNs during
the day. Staff RNs are scheduled for night shifts as well.
Telemonitoring and various medical devices will be utilized.
Familiarity with EMR, specifically EPIC, is preferred. The ideal
candidate will be eager, compassionate, and caring. Weekends and
on-call shifts will be part of the schedule. Approximately 5
on-call shifts per 4-week schedule are anticipated. Shifts will
include 1-2 Saturdays per month. The dress code includes scrubs in
Caribbean blue. No floating to other areas will be required. This
