ADEX Healthcare Staffing LLC is seeking a travel nurse RN ICU - Intensive Care Unit for a travel nursing job in Anchorage, Alaska. Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: ICU - Intensive Care Unit - Discipline: RN - Start Date: ASAP - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, nights - Employment Type: Travel RN Position Job Notes: Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2 years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available. Opportunity: RN - ICU Job Details: • Work 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM • Monday through Friday assignment (13-week assignment length) • Work in 14-bed ICU with patient ratios of 2:1 or 1:1 • Must independently manage intubated patients and titrate pressors • Experience with EPIC EMR system required • Work with Alaris IV pumps and other critical care equipment • Typical procedures include intubation, arterial line insertion, chest tube insertion, and central line insertion • 1 year of experience recovering open heart surgeries (less than 12 hours post-op) preferred • Required certifications: Alaska RN license, BLS, ACLS • Navy blue scrubs required • May float to other departments if unit is overstaffed (MOU, CVSU, Ortho, Rehab, or SPCU) • Work alongside 8 RNs per shift including 1 charge nurse and 7-8 staff RNs Facility: This major medical center operates a comprehensive 14-bed intensive care unit providing critical care services to patients requiring advanced monitoring and life support interventions.
