Job Title: Locum Physician - General Medicine Join our dedicated team in providing quality healthcare services to our nation's Veterans in Houston, Texas. This role will allow you to perform Compensation & Pension exams and Separation Health Assessments. We are focused on ensuring our Veterans receive the care they deserve. This opportunity is available for providers operating from their own offices or through our facilities, making it flexible and accommodating to your existing practice. We are committed to serving the community with compassion and professionalism. Job Responsibilities: Conduct one-time non-treatment Compensation & Pension exams and separation health assessments. Perform interview-based assessments along with some physical examinations, such as range of motion and muscle strength testing. Complete necessary documentation including reports and any required addendums. Maintain a focus on patient care while adhering to compliance and regulatory requirements. Engage in administrative duties associated with patient examinations. Participate in ongoing training and certifications as required. Qualifications: Proficient in METs testing and evaluating respiratory and cardiovascular systems. Ownership of a laptop (non-Mac/Apple products). AANP certification required. Active and unrestricted full medical license. Willingness to complete DMA training to become DMA certified. Prior experience in general medicine preferred. License and Certification Requirements: Valid and active medical license in Alaska. AANP certification. DMA certification (must be obtained upon hire).
