Description: This position involves working on a medical/surgical/oncology unit. The unit has 28 beds and typically operates with 12 staff members. The night shift typically includes 1 Charge Nurse, 3 RNs, and 2 Patient Care Technicians, depending on census. Patient ratios are typically 1:6. Equipment used includes Alaris pumps and Pyxis. The electronic medical record system utilized is Epic. Float areas may include Med/Tele and Surgical Care Unit. The ideal candidate is outgoing and flexible. Basic bedside procedures at the medical-surgical level may be performed on this unit. The unit has no specific weekend or on-call requirements; they depend on the needs at the time.
