Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: ED - Emergency Department - Discipline: RN - Start Date: ASAP - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, nights - Employment Type: Travel RN Position Job Notes: Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2 years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available. Opportunity: RN - ED ER Job Details: • Work 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM • 13-week assignment with 36 guaranteed hours per week • Various shift times available (7a, 9a, 11a, 12n, 13p, 15p, 7p) • Patient ratios of 4:1 (or 6:1 for low acuity ESI 4 & 5 patients) • Must have Alaska RN license at time of submission • Prior ED experience required • Stroke and STEMI experience preferred • Trauma and pediatrics experience preferred • Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC, NIH, ENPC • Work with equipment including Lucas, Level 1, Alaris IV pumps, I stat, EPOC, GE monitors • EMR system: EPIC • Perform typical procedures including splinting and breathing treatments • Rotating weekend schedule required • Dress code: Navy blue scrubs with appropriate fit • Must demonstrate flexibility, transparency, positive attitude, efficiency, and team player qualities Facility: This hospital features a comprehensive emergency department with 20 headwall beds and 4 halls, staffed by approximately 50 healthcare professionals. The facility operates with charge nurses, flow coordinators, registered nurses, ED technicians, and unit secretaries across all shifts.
