About The Position We are seeking a Board Certified Cardiothoracic Surgeon for a 90-day locum tenens opportunity in Alaska starting Nov 3, 2025. The assignment features a mix of hospital call and clinic work, with 24-hour call shifts and 15 days per month of call coverage. Candidates must hold an active Alaska license and DEA, and possess current ACLS and BLS certifications. Job Details Location: Alaska Start Date: Nov 3, 2025 LOA: 90 days Provider Type Needed: Cardiothoracic Surgeon Schedule: 24-hour call shifts; 15 days per month call coverage Responsibilities and Duties Provide comprehensive cardiothoracic surgical care in both hospital and clinic settings Perform a range of cardiovascular and thoracic surgical procedures Participate in call coverage as scheduled Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care Additional Information Must be Board Certified or Board Eligible in Cardiothoracic Surgery Required certifications: Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Basic Life Support (BLS) Must have an active Alaska medical license and DEA Cardiac Surgery Certification - Adult (CSC) required Prior experience in cardiothoracic surgery is essential Benefits Strong compensation Travel-related expenses covered A-rated medical malpractice insurance provided Dedicated recruiter for future travel opportunities What are Locum Tenens Jobs?
