PCU Registered Nurse Job Details - Location: Anchorage, Alaska (Zip: 99508) – Alaska nursing jobs - Unit: Cardiac Stepdown / Progressive Care Unit (PCU) / Telemetry - Assignment Length: 13-week travel nursing contract - Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM (12-hour night shifts) - Hours per Week: 36 - Start Date: October 20, 2025 - Rotating weekends required - Scrub Color: Caribbean Blue - Electronic Medical Record: Epic EMR - Estimated Weekly Salary Range: $1840-$1980 Registered Nurse Qualifications - Active Alaska RN license required - Minimum 1 year of recent Progressive Care Unit (PCU) or Telemetry nursing experience - Current ACLS and BLS certifications (American Heart Association preferred) - Advanced EKG interpretation and monitoring skills - Strong teamwork, communication, and adaptability - Cardiovascular nursing background preferred PCU Nurse Responsibilities - Deliver high-quality patient care in a 34-bed Progressive Care Unit (PCU) - Monitor and manage patients using telemetry, bedside monitors, defibrillator, Alaris pumps, kangaroo pump, CT, pacer wires, and pacing box - Assist with cardiac procedures such as TEE and cardioversion - Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of Registered Nurses (RNs) and Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) - Maintain a patient ratio of 1:4 for optimal care - Float to ICU and COVID units as needed for clinical support - Document all care and interventions using Epic electronic medical records Discover the unique blend of urban amenities and outdoor adventure that Anchorage, Alaska offers.
