The Alaska Department of Corrections Pharmacy, Division of
Health and Rehabilitation Services, is recruiting for a Pharmacy
Technician 1/2 located in Anchorage, Alaska.

What you will be doing:
Assist pharmacists in the processing, preparation and distribution
of medication orders. Will assist in formulary maintenance and
other tasks as defined by the practice of pharmacy.

We are interested in candidates who possess some or all of the

Minimum Qualifications
Pharmacy Technician 1
Two years of experience in a medical or medical supply field which
required knowledge of pharmaceuticals and related supplies.
AND
Licensure as a pharmacy technician in the State of Alaska.
Substitution:
An Associate degree in Pharmacy Technician from an accredited
college, completion of a post-secondary Pharmacy Technician
certificate program with a minimum of 30 credits, or certification
as a Certified Pharmacy Technician by the Pharmacy Technician
Certification Board will substitute for the required
experience.
Special Note:
Normal color vision is required. The department will verify this at
the time of interview. Pharmacy Technicians 1 require licensure as
a pharmacy technician in the State of Alaska. See 12 AAC 52.230.
Pharmacy Technicians.
Pharmacy Technician 2
Three years of experience in a medical or medical supply field
which required knowledge of pharmaceuticals and related
supplies.
AND
Licensure as a pharmacy technician in the State of Alaska.
AND
National Certification as a pharmacy technician in the State of
Alaska.
Special Note:
Normal color vision is required. The department will verify this at
the time of interview. Pharmacy Technicians 2 require national
certification as a pharmacy technician. See 12 AAC 52.235. Pharmacy
Technicians with National Certification.
