Job Description:

Customer Care and Relationships: Creates, develops and nurtures culturally appropriate interactions and connections with each other, customer-owners, and the community. 2. Delivers a broad range of clinically-focused L&D solutions, while mastering appropriate clinical subject matter expertise in assigned areas. 3. Works with employees, managers, Leadership, committees, and work teams to ensure that L&D meets the identified needs of the appropriate clinic, program, department, division, and SCF at-large. 4. Delivers clinical L&D assessment, identification, alignment, support/resources, and mentoring to workforce 5. Coordinates other L&D as needed/requested. Communications and Teamwork: 1. Shares and receives information, opinions, concerns and feedback in a supportive manner. 2. Works collaboratively by building bridges and creating rapport with team members within departments and across the organization. 3. Demonstrates trainer and/or educator skills (to include facilitation skills, presentation and interpersonal skills, consulting skills, networking throughout the organization, and strong follow-up skills ensuring fast and efficient completion of tasks). 4. Works interdependently within a team, gives and receives feedback and recommendations, as related to all areas of career development, progression, and retention. Improvement and Innovation: 1. Makes meaningful improvement to services, program and processes and/or organizational effectiveness that creates new value for customer-owners and employees. 2. Thinks strategically to continuously plan for SCF's clinical workforce readiness and development needs to include review and implementation of strategic goals. Workforce Development Skills and Abilities: 1. Seeks out additional learning opportunities to continue to develop the technical and professional skills needed now and in the future. 2. Takes responsibility for all work activities and personal actions by following through on commitments. 3. Applies knowledge of the Privacy Act of 1974 and the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 (HIPAA) to ensure the privacy of individuals is protected to the fullest. 4. Ensures timely and accurate standardization and documentation of work. 5. Uses computer skills demonstrating a strong knowledge/skill of Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and Power Point, with MOS certification preferred. 6. Applies documentation skills to include learning and development documentation and related reporting. 7. Uses project/program organization skills. 8. Works independently and has the capability to efficiently make decisions independently. 9. Maintains quality, safety, and infection control standards. Qualifications: SCF programs are established to serve a primary population comprised of Alaska Native people who are affiliated with Cook Inlet Region, Inc. (CIRI) and Alaska Native and American Indian people within SCF's geographical service area. Employees should have a thorough understanding of the cultures and the needs of this population. Such knowledge is critical to ensure the achievement of SCF's vision of a Native Community that enjoys physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual wellness, and mission of working together with the Native Community to achieve wellness through health and related services: 1. Bachelor's degree in medical or mental health field, including nursing, social work, counseling, psychology; OR equivalent combination of education, training and experience. 2. Two (2) years of experience in medical or mental health field, including nursing, social work, counseling, psychology. 3. Two (2) years of experience in the field of adult learning, training and development, education, vocational/occupational counseling or related field. This includes being a preceptor, mentor, or supervisor for students or medical or mental health professionals. 4. One (1) ATD Master Certificate or ability to obtain within one year. Additional Qualifications for Learning and Development Clinical Specialist II: Meets all requirements of Learning and Development Clinical Specialist I in addition to the following: 1. Three (3) years in L&D and demonstrated competency as an L&D Clinical Specialist I.
