Description RN Forensic Nurse Examiner - Forensic Nursing Svcs
Of Prov at Providence Alaska Medical Center The Forensic Registered
Nurse Case Manager performs medical forensic case management and
coordination of interdisciplinary clinical service delivery,
utilization of community resources, follow up care, and referrals
to services for adolescent and adult patients who receive forensic
nurse examiner services at Forensic Nursing Services of Providence.
The Forensic Registered Nurse Case Manager is also responsible for
providing direct patient care duties of a Forensic Nurse Examiner.
Required Qualifications:
- Nursing degree/diploma required upon hire.
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing or higher within 3 years of hire.
-or-
- An RN with 20 years of RN experience will not be required to
obtain a BSN.
- Exceptions will be considered on a case-by-case basis at each
facility by the most senior administrative nursing leader in
consultation with the Human Resources leader.
- RNs employed prior to 1/1/17 are encouraged to obtain a
Bachelor's degree or higher degree in Nursing, but obtaining the
degree will not be a condition of employment.
- Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of Alaska.
- Competency Training Required: BLS. Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing upon hire.
- Current certification of completion of 40 hour Sexual Assault
Nurse Examiner
- 16 hour SANE Clinical Skills Lab preferred
