RN Staff Development Coordinator - Providence Learning Institute at Providence Seward Medical Center



Participates in the assessment, development, implementation, and evaluation of a comprehensive network of educational programs and activities. Assures the use of appropriate educational technology and adult learning methodology to increase knowledge, skills, and competencies.



This includes, but is not limited to: validating required educational needs and competencies for staff; developing training programs and processes; ensuring staff education records are maintained; and, keeping facility leadership team informed of staff education needs.



Required qualifications:





  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing

  • Current licensure with the State of Alaska as a Registered Nurse

  • Certification within area of expertise or practice required as available (Professional Development)

  • For current employees certification within area of expertise must be obtained within 6 months

  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) card must be from American Heart Association (AHA) upon hire

  • 2 years of related experience in the health care field and/or education experience with groups and individuals
