Description Laboratory Assistant I *1.0/Variable$2,000 Hiring Bonus* $2,000 Hiring Bonus for eligible external candidates who meet all conditions for payment - this is in addition to the fantastic benefits and compensation package offered by Providence that begin on your first day of employment. Provides efficient, accurate, and courteous service for PAMC patients, physicians, employees or residents of Nursing Homes. Provides accurate and timely collection and receiving of specimens for all patients in accordance with medical center and laboratory policies and procedures, and Federal/State regulations. Accurately enters data into hospital and laboratory computer systems related to patient billing and charting. Performs processing functions to assure integrity of specimens for testing. Required qualifications for this position include:

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Valid driver's license may be required Preferred qualification for this position include:
  • 6 months experience in a laboratory setting required with experience in phlebotomy and specimen processing.
