Description Nuclear Medicine Technologist - Pet Scanner Under
supervision prepares, measures, and administers
radiopharmaceuticals for use in diagnostic studies. Is responsible
for patient safety protocols. Performs Pet/CT examinations.
Workflow experience is a must, in order to optimize efficiencies of
the scanner and PET facility, including control room, hot lab, and
injection rooms. Works with RSO as appropriate as well as the
pharmaceutical company. May also assist Cat Scan technologists with
the daily work flow of entire department. Maintains all federal,
state, local, and regulatory agency requirements. Participates in
CQI. Required qualifications for this position include:
- Coursework/Training Graduation from an approved school of
Radiology Sciences
- Must be registered in Nuclear Medicine with American Registry
of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or Nuclear Medicine Technology
Certification Board NMTCB.
- Current BLS certification. Preferred qualifications for this
position include:
- One (1) year in NM

Imaging Center Providence Imaging Center (PIC) is an independent
diagnostic testing facility for outpatient medical imaging, located
on the east side of the Providence Alaska Medical Center campus.
PIC completed an expansion, which added 8,000 square feet, and
several pieces of new equipment and 23 dedicated PIC parking spots
conveniently located adjacent to the facility. Board -certified
Radiologists and a team of highly qualified trained technologist
