Description $10K hiring/sign-on bonus for eligible external
candidates that meet required qualifications and conditions for
payment. RN Home Services - HHC Skilled Nursng Adults at Providence
In Home Services The registered nurse is accountable for the
delivery and supervision of safe, quality care that is
individualized for their assigned patients and follows the nursing
process in accordance with the Nurse Practice Act (assessment,
planning implementation, evaluation). She/He is responsible for the
assessment, treatment and care of patients in populations and ages
as assigned. The registered nurse accepts and promotes professional
development as an integral part of nursing practice. She/He will
access, analyze, customize, coordinate and communicate the
patient's plan of care and activities collaboratively with other
members of the health care team. Families and or significant others
will be included within the plan of care as appropriate. She/He
will direct, delegate and manage the care delivered by colleagues
and subordinates. The registered nurse performs all duties in a
manner that respects and supports the family centered care model.
Collegial and collaborative care will reflect the philosophy of the
Division of Nursing, the Mission and Core Values of the Sisters of
Providence, and National Patient Safety Standards. Required
qualifications:
- Graduate of an accredited/approved school of nursing
- Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of Alaska at time
of hire
- Must have a valid AK drivers license and auto insurance in
accordance with state automobile laws
- Competencies may include mandatory unit required competencies,
and BLS. ACLS, PALS, NRP, as designated
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) card must be from American
Heart Association (AHA) upon hire Preferred qualifications:
- 1 year of Registered Nurse experience in an acute care hospital
