Description Providence is calling a Mental Health Therapistl
(PBMG Anchorage, Day Shift, 1.0 FTE) to Providence Alaska Medical
Center in Anchorage, Alaska. We are a community of caregivers

vulnerable. In this position, you will:
- Develop specific treatment plans in identifying clinical
problems for individual patients and their families. Draw on the
Medical Director and clinical staff in problem solving and planning
at treatment team meetings or as needed. Is responsible for
functions of assessment, charting, and discharge using the systems
and procedures of the clinic for the patient and family
treatment
- Facilitate and co-facilitate groups, family therapy sessions,
and individual treatment sessions. Draw on theory and experience to
provide a variety of therapeutic sessions and interventions
specific to clients and their families
- Work cooperatively with other team members in providing patient
care and crisis management. Establish positive working
relationships and role models health communication skills. Assist
with orientation of new employees
- Monitor all patient and family progress in treatment and
outcomes as a result of interventions. Provide structure and safe
limit setting by developing therapeutic rapport with the patient
and their family. Make ongoing assessments of patient's mental
health status and assists in crisis management
- Document a thorough assessment, including mental status exam,
interventions and activities related to patient's plan of care.
Participate in continuous quality improvement process. Maintain a
working knowledge of the program's policies and procedures
- Actively solicit parents and family members to become part of
the treatment process Required qualifications for this position
include
- Masters or doctoral degree in psychology, social work, or
health-related field
- Current State of Alaska license as: Psychologist, Clinical
Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or
Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT
- Two years experience providing family or individual
therapy
- Strong foundational knowledge of comprehensive mental health
issues in both theory and practice
- Knowledge, training, and experience utilizing assessment
techniques, and evidence-based interventions for specific
