Description:Infant Nutrition Technician NICU - Neonatal
Intensive Care at Providence Alaska Medical CenterUnder Dietary and
Manager's supervision, this position is accountable for the
preparation of infant feedings assigned within the NICU. Reviews
feeding plans and medical orders to address the specific
nutritional needs of each infant for accurate preparation of
feedings using breast milk, donor breast milk, formula, fortifiers,
and other additives. Preparation techniques must adhere to all
sanitary regulations and standards established by regulating
agencies and the health care facility, which should include
compliance with policies related to the institution's plan for
enteral feeding.Qualifications:Required Qualifications:
- Food Handlers Card.Preferred Qualifications:
- One year of college education (typically 24 - 30 semester hours
or equivalent).
- Medical environment.
- Medical terminology.
- Food handling experience, sanitation practices, detail-oriented
