We provide children's therapy in a fun, family-friendly, professional environment 1900 square ft therapy gym and therapy rooms.Serving children from birth to 21 years.Founded by Susan Mansfield, Guidepost believes that a child's therapy program is a collaborative effort initiated by the therapist and carried out beyond the speech sessions and throughout the child's daily activities. Each therapist works closely and in conjunction with those closest to the kids (e.g., parents, teachers, caregivers, schools, etc.) to achieve the patient's highest potential.We are a wrap-around one-stop-shop service clinic offering OT, PT, Speech and Behavioral Mental Health, Nutrition, Reading and Math specialists to meet the needs of our diverse patient demographic. We are building a new and dynamic team and look forward to welcoming you into an inclusive work environment where you will be exposed to diverse and multi-faceted cases.Join our dynamic team that evaluates the entire child from cradle to classroom and helps them climb the ladder to success.This full time, year-round speech therapist position is based in beautiful Wasilla /Palmer communities and is an onsite job combined with telemedicine/ onsite patient care.While the main practice location remains in Wasilla, our brand new 1900 sq. ft. location allows for a unique hybrid model of pediatric and educational services under one roof which has proven successful for pediatric populations. Our clinic has an incredible build out and is an oasis for parents and clinicians. We are focused on the quality of life for the patient, family and therapist and consider that in our daily scheduling practices.The build out of our new clinic puts speech therapy as a priority with your own quiet space in the clinic for intensive patient work.Individuals seeking this position require a high level of commitment to the philosophical foundation of the profession and the Guidepost Mission Statement, as well as the ability to demonstrate awareness of positionally and cultural factors that influence speech therapies in Alaska. Clinicians would be open to the synergy OT/PT, Speech, Pediatric Behavioral Mental Health and Educational Services for pediatric patients with brain and body disabilities.. Duties are primarily self-directed with support from existing team and include but are not limited to:
    • ability to evaluate and design POC for a wide variety of speech-language disorders
    • ability to design lesson plans to meet the goals on the POC
    • design and fabrication of client-centered specialized adaptive equipment for your patient load ( some equipment is provided)
    • frequent family support/consultations via email, text and care conferences
    • attendance at consultation meetings for caseload patients when requested and reporting to care coordination agencies in advocacy of service provision usually within practice and intra-collaborative model
    • intervention in home and community settings where indicated and documented on care plan and /or tele-health sessions
    • following detailed clinical care plans
    • Evaluates, treats and monitors patients. Modifies therapy programs and goals when required.
    • meeting with staff and coordination of therapies if indicated
    • fluency with telemedicine service provision using Fusion or willingness to learn
    • timely daily documentation and charting with built in charting time to help with caseloadOur office staff manages schedules Monday- Thursday- 9-7. We are a community of caregivers who deliver every day on our Mission to provide compassionate care that is accessible for all In this position you will: -Assess, plan, implement and evaluate Speech Language Pathology services under the prescription of a physician licensed in the state of Alaska. -Document goals and progress for the medical record according to facility guidelines. -Communicate with interdepartmental team members and outside agencies to identify pediatric patient needs. -.Qualifications: Required qualifications for this position include:
      • Master's degree in Speech Language PathologyState of Alaska licensure in SLP.Current BLS certification required from American Heart Association upon hire or the ability to accomplish within 30 days of hire Preferred qualifications for this position include:
        • 1 year experience working with pediatric population in outpatient settings for speech
