Save Skills - Time Management - Writing Skills - Project Management - Budgeting - Team Management The Office of Information Technology (OIT) is seeking to hire a Portfolio Manager for the Portfolio, Planning, and Policy (P3) section. This position will be filled in either Juneau or Anchorage, Alaska depending on the preferences of the candidate. The OIT Portfolio Manager is responsible for the application of systematic management to the IT portfolio of investments and infrastructure of the State of Alaska. The portfolio manager also makes appropriate recommendations, ensures alignment of IT efforts, ensures best practices, provides expert recommendations on approval of investments. This position plays a key role in in evolving OIT towards a creation and implementation of OIT portfolios for a minimum 12-month forward planning period ensuring delivery of agreed portfolios for a maximum benefit. A successful candidate will have experience in investments, portfolio management, financial analysis, reporting, and modelling gained through a combination of education and work experience. If you don't have experience with any of the traits listed below, simply say so.): Ability and experience managing a team including hiring, training, and evaluating performance Experience developing budgets and tracking expenditures Thorough knowledge of a broad spectrum of IT services and solution technologies Strong business acumen, strategic and analytical thinking, root cause analysis, and creative problem-solving ability Ability to provide clear and concise reports; prepare dashboards and other visualization tools to report routine and specialized reports; defend insights and reports with a variety of stakeholders; Experience demonstrating excellent time management and work prioritization; Skill in developing effective work relationships with peers and professionals in other specializations; APSIN statement: Employment with Office of Information Technology is contingent upon successfully completing and maintaining an APSIN background check and security clearance conducted by the Department of Public Safety. Fingerprinting is required. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Four years of professional experience in information technology that included significant project management responsibilities or administration of business operation-integrated IT systems, and/or business management in a business function using information-based systems that supported the enterprise.
