Job Description:
*Seasonal Position*Hotel Seward, managed by JL Hospitality
Management, is seeking a qualified professional to lead the Food &
Beverage team.Title: Chef/Restaurant ManagerIdeal Start Date:
April/MayPrimary Tasks/Responsibilities:--- Ordering of food and
alcoholic beverages--- Accurately and efficiently cook meats, fish,
vegetables, and other hot food products --- Maintain proper
inventories and levels for both food and beverage--- Ensure that
food and beverage costs remain at or below budgeted levels---
Ensure that all controls and SOPs are at 100% compliance levels---
Act as the first management line of contact for all guest issues---
Assist the General Manager in promoting "Positively Outrageous
Service" from the Food and Beverage outlets--- Responsible for the
weekly scheduling of associates for the Food & Beverage department
as well as assisting with payroll.--- Ensure all financial
transactions are completed properly and within the established
guidelines of the property--- Responsible for assisting the General
Manager in the budgeting, forecasting, and planning for the F&B
Department.--- Interacting with all associates in the department
providing ongoing feedback and performance evaluation--- Assume
other duties/tasks as may be delegated or assigned by the
GM.Applicant Minimum Requirements: --- Legally eligible to work in
the United States--- This person should have excellent verbal and
written communication skills, with basic knowledge of hotel related
processes and departments.--- Have an understanding of quality food
preparation and portion control--- 2-3 years of experience in Food
& Beverage and/or Restaurant, including at least two years of
supervisory experience--- Experience working in a branded hotel a
plus--- Proficiency with MICROS POS automation or similar
platform(s) desirable--- Applicant must be personable and exhibit
outstanding customer service in guest interactions--- Appropriate
