Job Description:

  • Develops, prioritizes and leads strategic planning initiatives within assigned business lines to achieve the credit union's mission, vision, goals and objectives.
  • Makes significant strategic and tactical contributions to the formulation, development, implementation, and administration of Credit Union strategy, business goals, and objectives.
  • Consistently demonstrates strong leadership, ethics, core values, and soft skills to build constructive and supportive relationships with peers, diverse teams, and work groups across the Credit Union to achieve goals and promote a positive, productive and professional, work environment. Provide directives and guidance for the credit union across all levels and departments as appropriate.
  • Oversight of activities that are integral to the design and production of credit union facilities, goods and services. Work collaboratively with the team on projects that impact the credit unions brand including facilities design, branding collateral and branch appearance. Maintain accountability for project budgets, timelines and partnership with vendors and stakeholders to meet project goals.
  • Oversight of the organization's visual presence is consistent across all channels and aligns with brand strategy. This includes all visual design elements of product implementation, brand recognition and encompassing of creative content in support of multi-channel audience development strategies across various mediums (social assets, print ads, website and more).
  • Oversight of upper-level corporate content to include public relations, editorial material, internal communications, executive communication and other related projects. Through self or designee, act as public relations spokesperson to the media and other outlets on behalf of Credit Union 1. When necessary, oversee internal and external crisis communication operations while ensuring the credit union's reputation is protected.
  • Develop and maintain strategies that create and uphold a positive public image for the credit union by forming relationships with various members of the media, government and public. Generate new business opportunities as appropriate.
  • Contributes to the development and implementation of plans and strategies to meet the Board of Directors strategic objectives for the credit union. -
  • Creates and oversees the execution of the annual Marketing Plan by evaluating internal and external market share factors and ensuring the credit union continues to be well positioned and appropriately branded in the marketplace while adhering to established policies and regulations.
  • Oversight of annual facilities planning encompassing the entire portfolio of owned/leased space. Through self or designee, ensure preventive maintenance is conducted on all facilities, equipment and fleet vehicles. Oversee inspections of facilities to determine current conditions, potential risks and suggested improvements and repair expenditures.
  • Maintains effective relationships with the public, government officials, trade organizations and executives of other credit unions. -
  • Oversight through self or designee, the execution of the credit union's Community Outreach program, ensuring the goals and objectives of the initiatives are met. -ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
    • Meets the current standards as established for the department in the completion of all assigned duties. -
    • Community service is required of all management staff. While some may occur during work hours with the permission of the President, some must also occur outside of normal working hours, at a minimum of twice per year. Community service is defined as serving on a non-profit board of directors, volunteer participation in fundraisers for social services (other than occupying a seat at a Credit Union 1 paid for table), and participation in other social services events. In addition, attendance at management mandated events will be required.
    • Other duties as assigned.QUALIFICATIONS:
      • High school graduate or equivalent with a four-year degree in related field. 7-10 years of experience in a financial institution with at least five years in a senior level position is also required. -
      • Must have excellent written and verbal communications skills and possess the ability to work well under pressure and be capable of working in a tactful, diplomatic and effective manner with members, all levels of credit union personnel, professionals serving the credit union and external auditors and regulators. -
      • Responsible for abiding and complying with the policy for compliance with the Bank Secrecy Act and anti-money laundering laws and regulations (BSA/AML) and the policy for compliance with office of foreign assets control laws and regulations (OFAC).Only applicants that meet the minimum qualifications for this position will be considered for an interview.
