We're looking for a Construction Management Lead to be based Anchorage, AK to serve as the Construction Management Lead for the $1.8 billion Port of Alaska Modernization Program to rebuild the original Port of Alaska general cargo and fuel import facilities. The original structures are nearing the end of their design lives and the new projects are focused on restoring seismic resiliency to this critical element of Alaska's supply chain. Join us and you'll have the chance to work on some of the most technically and logistically challenging port development projects in the world. You'll be responsible for orchestrating and managing a number of construction related activities including: contract procurement, negotiation and management; resident engineering and inspection services; project commissioning; and claims and dispute resolution. You will be expected to be able to work with clients and contractors with the knowledge of construction practices including stakeholder management, change management, safety, quality assurance, scheduling, estimating, price negotiations, and oversight of day-day-activities. By developing and delivering on project scopes, budgets, reports, contracts, and schedules, you'll be a critical part of our Program Management Office and help achieve our client's objectives.   • Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or related discipline.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license, preferably in Alaska.
  • 15+ years of proven experience in Construction Management working on major civil. works and structural projects, with 5+ years of experience in waterfront construction and cold-weather construction environments.
  • Extensive knowledge of construction including materials, equipment, methods, plans specifications, associated safety requirements, and claims resolution processes.
  • Required to have and maintain a satisfactory driving record. Ideally, you'll also have:
    • Master's degree in construction management, engineering, or related discipline
    • Certified Construction Manager (CCM) Certification
    • Proven experience with ports, harbors and dredging projects
