Description Social Services Clinician - Case Management And
Social Svc at Providence Alaska Medical Center The "Social Services
Clinician" provides services to patients and their families to meet
their medically related social and emotional needs as they impinge
on their medical condition, treatment, recovery, and safe
transition from one care environment to another. The "Social
Services Clinician" works under the direction of the Director of
Case Management and Social Services and Social Services Manager of
Case Management and Social Services in accordance with standards
established by the Social Work profession (NASW Codes of Ethics/
NASW Standards for Clinical Practice/ NASW Standards for Social
Work Practice in Health Care Settings). "Social Services
Clinicians", employed by Providence Alaska Medical Center, will
practice the profession of social work as regulated by the Board of
Social Work Examiners in the State of Alaska and outlined in the
standards of practice and code of ethics from the National
Association of Social Workers. Required Qualification:
- Master's Degree as a Social Worker from an accredited School of
Social Work. Preferred Qualifications:
- 2 years acute care Medical Social Work experience.
- Experience with computerized documentation and medical records
