Assistant Clinical Manager RN Providence Alaska Medical Center In
collaboration with the management team focuses on daily department
operations. Supervises personnel and coordinates activities of
Nursing. Performs all duties in a manner that promotes team concept
and reflects the mission of philosophy of the Providence Health
System. Serves as a role model for nurses, physicians, and
department support staff, exhibiting the Core Values in all
activities. Mentors under the Clinical Manager / Director and
pursues management and leadership training within the Providence
Alaska Learning Institute. May be assigned to special projects per
Clinical Manager / Director consistent with strategic, fiscal, and
operational goals/targets. Required qualifications:
- Graduate of an accredited/approved school of Nursing
- 3 years Clinical experience
- 2 years recent clinical supervisory experience or charge nurse
experience
- Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of Alaska
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) card must be from American
Heart Association (AHA) upon hire Preferred qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing (All Registered Nurses without a
minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Nursing must obtain a Bachelor's
degree in Nursing or higher within 30 months of hire. Exceptions
will be considered on a case-by-case basis at each facility by the
most senior administrative nursing leader in consultations with the
Human Resource Leader.)
- Certification within area of expertise or practice preferred
