Express Employment Professionals is are searching for an experience CFO/Controller to fill a direct-hire opportunity for a Chelsea area Tier 1 OEM and aftermarket supplier. Responsibilities: Ensures that all accounting records are maintained in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles and practices and maintains a system of strong internal controls Develop and document business processes, SOPs, and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls Research and analyze optimization and improvements of current procedures Supervise and manage financial policies, systems, processes, and reporting including budgeting, financial analysis, bookkeeping, billing, accounts payable, accounts receivable, job costing, treasury functions, inventory accounting and revenue recognition, expense management, and GL activities Supervision of daily and period end processes (preparing Period, Quarter, and Annual reporting) Provide leadership, direction, and management for financial accounting Perform analytical reviews of the monthly operating results to ensure the reasonability and accuracy of reports Provides status of financial condition by collecting, interpreting, and reporting financial data and identifying trends and recommending actions Coordinating and preparation of the budget, financial forecasts, financial planning, and variances reports Develops, prepares, and analyzes all financial reports including (but not limited to) cash flow, cost, price and financial analyses and cost, price, and expense models Develop strategic proposals based on the company's financial and economic goals Manage and comply with local and state reporting requirements and tax filings Preparing monthly financial reports (i.e. income statements & balance sheets), quarterly and annual tax reports to be sent to 3rd party CPA firm for tax preparations Prepare reporting on revenue costs, key cost figures, etc. and develop proposals to improve business Employee Benefit Plans, 401k administration and negotiation Manage workers comp. and building insurances Payroll processing for 2 company locations Participate in a wide variety of special projects and compiling a variety of special reports. Qualification: 8-10 years of experience working as a controller or CFO in the manufacturing industry Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline Thorough knowledge of GAAP Experience utilizing Plex ERP software Strong attention to detail, analytical skills and ability to work with and reconcile numbers Strong independent problem-solving skills and critical thinking skills Ability to meet established deadlines with high levels of accuracy Ability to work independently with minimal supervision APPLY TODAY!
