MV Transportation, Inc. is seeking a dedicated Mechanic B to join our team, providing essential maintenance and repair services to our diverse fleet that helps connect communities across the U.S. and Canada. As a pivotal part of our maintenance team, you will work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment to ensure the reliability and safety of our vehicles, ranging from paratransit vans to large buses. This position requires a strong blend of technical acumen and problem-solving skills to effectively diagnose issues and perform repairs maintaining the highest standards of safety and compliance. Perform routine and preventative maintenance on a wide range of transportation vehicles. Diagnose mechanical issues and repair malfunctioning components. Ensure compliance with all safety and regulatory requirements. Maintain accurate records of repairs and maintenance performed. Collaborate with team members to improve maintenance procedures and minimize vehicle downtime. Strong understanding of diesel engines and electronic diagnostic equipment. Proficiency in mechanical system repairs. Ability to read and understand technical manuals and schematics. Effective communication and problem-solving skills. Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance 401k ASE certification desirable. Specific certifications in bus or heavy vehicle repair a plus.
