Orion Talent, the nation's largest military recruiting firm, is currently recruiting transitioning or former military professionals for a Biomedical Technician position with a nationally accredited diagnostic medical imaging company.

Position Details
Location: Anchorage, AK
Compensation: $28 - $30/hr or more depending on experience + O/T pay after 40 hours weekly + company vehicle for service work or mileage reimbursement for personal vehicle use + relocation for the right candidate + all tools, PPE, and supplies required for service work. You are guaranteed 40 hours of work weekly.
Shift: Normal standard daytime working hours Mon. - Fri. No weekends!
Travel: Service to clients primarily in the Anchorage area with occasional travel to client sites throughout Alaska. Some weeks no travel at all when servicing clients locally in Anchorage; other weeks could spend on average 1-2 overnights per week. Home every weekend.

Position Description
As a Biomedical Technician, you will provide maintenance and technical expertise to medical staff clients on the operation and maintenance of medical equipment, ensuring that equipment functions within the manufacturer's specifications and requirements in a safe manner for both patients and medical staff. A vital part of this role is customer service. You will be working alongside doctors, nurses, and various healthcare professionals and associates so customer service and care is also a top priority. Medical equipment is manufactured with the highest quality, so your work should also focus on and replicate the quality that is integral to healthcare and the medical industry. This role primarily focuses on the preventative and corrective maintenance. You will be responsible for planned maintenance, emergency & routine service, installations, upgrades, disposals, relocations, and on-call service or support. A typical day includes prepping for dispatch with proper tools, PPE, manuals, and equipment, planning your service work in advance based on the work order schedule, and accurately and consistently completing all required and necessary service documentation. Key responsibilities include:
--- Travel to customer healthcare locations based on customer service work order needs and each account.
--- Troubleshoot and resolve all customer, product, and equipment issues.
--- Maintenance and repair on electronic and mechanical medical equipment to ensure optimal operation.
--- Interface/inspect medical ancillary devices for clinical instrumentation operation & implementation.
--- Calibrate equipment to ensure accuracy & correct operation.
--- Build positive sustained and lasting relationships with customers.
--- Comparatively evaluate equipment with appropriate new & improved equipment recommendations.
--- Document service results & maintain accurate records for all service events, tests, and work performed.

Position Requirements
--- Ideally some experience working on biomedical equipment as a Biomedical Technician.
--- Solid experience troubleshooting, maintaining, & repairing electronic systems and mechanical systems.
--- Outstanding problem-solving skills with a keen ability to identify and solve problems and actively work to resolve issues with superior listening, attention to detail, excellent customer service, solid time management, outstanding communication skills, and superb documentation and service record keeping.
--- Must have a good driving record & credit for a company card.
