Job Description:
The University of Alaska Anchorage (UAA) is seeking a qualified
social psychologist to fill a beginning-level, tenure-track,
Assistant Professor of Psychology position with primary teaching
responsibility at the undergraduate and graduate levels. This is a
full-time, 9-month, tenure track, faculty position complete with
both a competitive salary, DOE, and full employee benefits package,
with an expected start date in August 2026. Opportunities for
summer teaching are available. The Department of Psychology at UAA
offers bachelor (BA/BS), MS in Clinical Psychology (Clinical &
Applied Behavior Analysis Tracks), MS in School Psychology -
Specialist, and APA accredited doctorate (Ph.D. in
Clinical-Community Psychology) degrees. In addition, the Department
offers a graduate certificate in Children’s Mental Health. The
Department prepares students: (1) for advanced study in the social
and health sciences, and (2) to become members of the behavioral
health workforce. The department also maintains the Psychological
Services Center, a clinic that provides low-cost mental health
services to campus and community members. The department strives to
offer degree and certificate programs that meet the needs of the
state of Alaska. With more than 400 students and 19 faculty

independent research program that will build on and add to existing
community partnerships; 6) Pursue and secure external funding; 7)
Mentor students in research. Minimum Qualifications: Doctoral
degree in Social Psychology or related field Preferred
qualifications: Documented record of research and publication or
demonstrated potential for research and publication; and documented
college-level teaching experience both online and in the classroom
and mentoring students in research or demonstrated potential.
Position Details: This position is located on the University of
Alaska Anchorage campus in Anchorage, AK. This is a full-time,
9-month base, tenure-track, faculty position complete with both a
competitive salary and full employee benefits package . UA provides
a generous compensation package that includes retirement options,
