This is a non-represented position (no union affiliation) and is subject to the provisions of the Personnel Rules of the Municipality of Anchorage. DEPARTMENT: Public Transportation HOURS OF WORK:40 hours per week, Thursday/ Friday 04:30 - 15:30 Saturday/Sunday 06:45 - 17:45 LOCATION: 3600 Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Avenue Starting pay does not exceed the midpoint of the displayed pay range To be considered for employment, applicants must be legally authorized to work and accept employment in the United States. Example of Duties Provide guidance and direction to support day-to-day transit operations, Key duties include, but are not limited to; assign bus operator work assignments, check-in bus operators to ensure fit-for-duty compliance, detours, coordinate on-route complications and potential emergency situations. Responsibilities require extensive use of radio, phone, transit specific and non-specific software, face-to-face interaction, and monitoring of surrounding activities. Perform other duties as assigned. Additional Qualifications/Responsibilities Minimum Qualifications / Substitutions / Preferences High school diploma, GED or equivalent and six (6) years of experience in the field related to the position. OR Associate’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Computer Information Systems, Finance or similar discipline and four (4) years of experience in the field related to the position. OR Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Computer Information Systems, Finance or similar discipline and two (2) years of experience in the field related to the position.
