Age Range of Students: K12 /n - Experience as a School Based OT:
Required /n /n Occupational Therapist (OT) School Basted –
Qualifications and Responsibilities: /n /n - Training/experience in
a variety of diagnostic instruments for assessing fine motor,
visual motor, visual-perceptual, sensory motor and self-care skill
levels. /n - Additional training/experience in pediatrics,
neurodevelopmental therapy, sensory integration, CPR/First Aid. /n
- Working knowledge of State rules and regulations for disabled
students. /n - Ability to work and communicate effectively with
staff, students and parents from diverse cultural backgrounds in a
variety of educational interdisciplinary team settings. /n -
Ability to apply purposeful, goal directed, developmentally
sequenced activities to enhance the student’s potential for
facilitating improvement of a student’s physical, emotional,
sensory and/or perceptual deficit through use of specially designed
instruction and/or related services delivery models. /n -
Experience writing Individual Education Programs (IEP). /n -
Ability to write measurable annual goals and objectives. /n /n
State License - Education - Certification Requirements: /n /n -
Graduate of an accredited OT program (minimum: Bachelor of Science)
/n - Registration with the National Board for Certification in
Occupational Therapy /n - State License as an Occupational
Therapist (OT) /n - Educational/Teacher Certification if required
