Open to the general public and any current Municipal employee. This
is a non-represented position (no union affiliation) and is subject
to the provisions of the Personnel Rules of the Municipality of
Anchorage. DEPARTMENT: Public Transportation HOURS OF WORK: Monday
& Friday; 2:00 p.m. to 1:00 a.m. Saturday & Sunday; 10:00 a.m. to
9:00 p.m. (hours may be adjusted depending on operational needs)
LOCATION: 3600 Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Avenue Starting pay does
not exceed the midpoint of the displayed pay range To be considered

Student Visas and Employment Visas, under any circumstances.
Example of Duties Under the supervision of the Transit AM
Operations Superintendent, lead day-to-day transit operations
activity. Activities include, but are not limited to logistical
support, accidents, detours, schedule adherence; supervision of
dispatch specialist(s) and bus operators; responsible for bus
operator work assignments, daily time-card and scheduling
comparison, ensures accuracy of activities are recorded in
appropriate softwares, files, etc. Perform other duties as
assigned. Additional Qualifications/Responsibilities Minimum
Qualifications / Substitutions / Preferences High school diploma,
GED, or equivalent and eight (8) years of transportation operations
or logistics experience, two (2) years of which must have been in a
supervisory, lead , or administrative capacity. OR Associate’s
degree in Business Administration, Business Management, Computer
Information Systems, Civil Engineering, Logistics, Planning, or
similar discipline and six (6) years of transportation operations
or logistics experience, two (2) years of which must have been in a
supervisory, lead, or administrative capacity. OR Bachelor’s degree
in Business Administration, Business Management, Computer
Information Systems, Civil Engineering, Logistics, Planning, or
similar discipline and four (4) years of transportation operations
or logistics experience, two (2) years of which must have been in a
supervisory, lead, or administrative capacity. A valid State of
Alaska Driver’s License with satisfactory driving record at time of
hire Satisfactory background check which includes criminal,
education, and employment history at time of hire.
