Job Description:
The Department of Quantitative Studies at the University of
Alaska, Anchorage includes the disciplines of Mathematics and
Statistics. The department offers courses leading to and including
Tier 1 Quantitative Literacy General Education Requirements. This
includes all 0- and 100-level Math courses as well as Elementary
Statistics. Adjunct positions are on a semester-by-semester basis.
Successful acceptance into the adjunct pool does not guarantee an
offer of an appointment. This is an adjunct labor pool and
applicants are hired based on departmental need. Knowledge of
accepted instruction methods. Ability to communicate effectively
both orally and in writing. Public speaking skills. Customer
service skills. 2 years relevant experience. Minimum
Qualifications: Bachelor's degree/Master's degree in field related
to the position, or an equivalent combination of training and
experience. Position Details: This is a part-time, adjunct
instructor position. Minimum salaries are set by the United
Academic - Adjunct, AAUP-AT/AFL-CIO collective bargaining
agreement. Salaries may vary based upon education and experience.
