Job Description:
The College of Business & Public Policy's Dean's Office is
seeking motivated student assistances that will provide a wide
range of services to its students, faculty and to the Anchorage and
Alaska business communities. To be eligible for student employment
an applicant must: A. Be enrolled in the UAA system with a minimum
of six credit hours in the current semester of employment or B.
Have been enrolled in the presiding semester for six or more credit
hours and demonstrate plans to enroll for six or more credit hours
in the next semester for employment between semesters and C. Have
at least a 2.0 (GPA) or approval from the MAU senior student
services officer or his/her designee. A successful applicant must
have customer service skills with the ability to multitask and
complete projects by their given deadline. Professional telephone
skills; the ability to follow instructions; work independently; the
ability to maintain confidentiality; and deliver good verbal and
written communication skills which include good grammar and
spelling. The ability to organize and prioritize fluctuating
workloads; have experience in general office procedures, practices
and equipment; work independently to follow up and respond to
changing priorities is essential with computer-based word
processing, spreadsheet applications, and electronic mail software;
proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite. Minimum Qualifications:
High school diploma/GED and full time enrollment at University of
Alaska Anchorage. Position Details: This position is located on the
University of Alaska Anchorage campus. New hires will be placed on
the UA Student Salary Schedule based on education and experience.
