Job Description:
The School of Nursing is seeking applications for Student Lab
Assistants. The schedule for this position is flexible, depending
on the needs of the labs and the student worker’s class schedule.
This is a part-time, temporary position, with up to 20 hours per
week. We are seeking a reliable and motivated individual to join
our team who demonstrates excellent organizational skills, strong
problem-solving abilities, and the capacity to understand and
follow both written and verbal instructions. The ideal candidate
will be dependable, adaptable, and eager to learn, with the ability
to work independently as a self-starter while maintaining
flexibility in scheduling. This position requires the ability to
lift up to 20 pounds with or without accommodation. While prior
familiarity with medical equipment and supplies is beneficial, it
is not required, as training will be provided. Students that are
enrolled in pre-nursing classes or classes focused on healthcare or
related degree are preferred. Minimum Qualifications: To be
eligible for student employment at UAA, a student must: a. be
enrolled in the university system with a minimum of six credit
hours in the current semester of employment b. for employment
between semesters, have successfully completed six or more UA
credit hours in the preceding semester and demonstrate plans to
enroll for six or more credit hours in the next semester c. not
work hours which interfere with class attendance d. have at least a
2.0 cumulative grade point average Position Details: New hires will
