Job DescriptionJOB SUMMARY
Under limited supervision, provides advanced accounting duties
related to: budget preparation and analysis, job cost accounting,
fixed assets and depreciation, audit preparation, general ledger
account reconciliation, bank reconciliations, vendor research, and
financial reporting in an accurate and timely manner.
Updates, reviews, reconciles and manages various accounts, balance
sheets, general ledgers, statements, and spreadsheets. Processes
required journal entries and fund distributions.
Prepares various monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
Reviews coding accuracy for assigned accounts. Identifies and
reconciles account discrepancies.
Assists with audit preparation (annual financial audit, Medicare
cost report, and various payroll related audits).
Complies with the regulatory standards and policies and procedures
of accounting. In addition to divisional accounting
responsibilities, performs representative duties for related
organizations. Performs duties for all divisional grant programs
and project. Produces and processes invoices and receivables for

SkillsKnowledge of applicable computer system software
Knowledge of general ledger, journal entries, account
reconciliation, account payables/receivables.
Knowledge of financial budget account analysis, tracking, and

Knowledge of the regulatory requirements and policies and
procedures of accounting.
Skill in operating a personal computer utilizing various software
including electronic spreadsheets.

projects, and meeting deadlines.
Skill in using analytical and research skills in performance of job
Skill in performing variance analysis of budgeted accounts.
Skill in establishing and maintaining cooperative working
relationships with others.Required ExperienceMINIMUM EDUCATION
A Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance or similar discipline
related to this field is required. Progressively responsible
professional/exempt work experience may be substituted on a
year-for-year basis for college education.
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATON
Non-supervisory- 0 years of experience required; this is an entry
level professional position.
MINIMUM PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
The following demands are representative of those that must be met
by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of
this job. This position requires persistent repetitive movements of
the hands, wrists and fingers and the ability to sit for long
periods of time. Must be able to lift approximately 15 pounds.
