Hotel Accounting Clerk (FT)Job description:The Hilton Anchorage Hotel is looking for an Accounting Clerk to join our team.We are the largest full-service hotel with 606 rooms located in downtown Anchorage. The hotel has a full-service restaurant, bar, room service, concierge lounge, exercise room, indoor pool, and 20,000 sq. ft of functional event space.To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions.Supports the accounting function at the hotel, including the accounts payable/accounts receivable processes by ensuring that billing, invoices, and credit card statements are handled according to company policies and procedures.Ensure that deposits balance and all money is accounted for. Supplies money for all department banks and tills. Issuing banks and change requests.Bill and collect all revenue owed to the hotel in an accurate, timely manner in accordance with accounting policies and proceduresPrepare daily reports.Assist with customer billing and credit card issues including research or obtaining information regarding accounts, cash transactions, or bank accounts.May also be involved in other accounting-related functions as assigned.Experience within a hotel environment and with Hilton systems a plus, including OnQ and Delphi.
