Senior Accountant - RemoteDirect PlacementJob Summary:The Senior
Accountant is responsible for all accounting-related activities,
including the accurate and timely distribution of financial and
management reports such as monthly financial statements, project
status reports, variance analysis, etc.Job Duties and
Responsibilities:Senior Accountant is responsible for all aspects
of general ledger accounting, such as monthly journal entries,
monthly reconciliations of subsidiary ledgers, monthly bank
reconciliations, monthly accruals and reversals, fixed asset
accounting, and monthly revenue recognition and analysis.Monitor
and analyze monthly operating results.Prepare financial analysis
for reports and decision-making.Publish monthly, quarterly, and
yearly financial statements and other management reports as
needed.Assist with establishing and maintaining systems and
internal controls which verify the integrity of all systems,
processes, and data.Assist with company audits and preparation of
reports required by regulatory agencies.Other duties as
assignedMinimum Qualifications: (To perform this job successfully,
an individual must be able to perform each essential duty
satisfactorily.)Bachelor's degree (B. A.) in accounting from a
four-year college or universityMinimum of two or more years related
accounting experience and/or training; or one year of public
accounting experience.CPA or CPA candidate preferred.Experience
with ASC 606 and ASC 842 preferred.Required Knowledge, Skills, and
Abilities:Synthesizes complex or diverse information; Collects and
researches data; Uses intuition and experience to complement data;
Designs workflows and procedures.Senior Accountant identifies and
resolves problems in a timely manner; Gathers and analyzes
information skillfully; Develops alternative solutions; Works well
in group problem-solving situations; Uses reason even when dealing
with emotional topics.Assesses own strengths and weaknesses;
Pursues training and development opportunities; Strives to
continuously build knowledge and skills; Shares expertise with
others.Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business
periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or
governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business
correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively
present information and respond to questions from groups of
managers, clients, customers, and the general public.Ability to
work with higher mathematical concepts as needed. Ability to apply
concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to
practical situations.Ability to solve practical problems and deal
with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only
limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of
instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule
form.To perform this job successfully, an individual should have
experience working with accounting software (Costpoint, FAS
preferred), Internet browsers, Excel, word processing, and
