RSM US LLP is looking for a Tax Manager to join our expanding Lead Tax practice. - This role provides an opportunity to join a high-performing tax practice. - As a Tax Manager for RSM, you will be responsible for the following job duties, which are focused around three core concepts: Technical & Quality Expertise, People & Talent Management, and Client Service/Business Development. -Responsibilities:Provide detailed review and analysis of complex tax returnsServe as a Career Advisor by providing mentorship or coaching to one or more employees, which will include providing honest and timely performance feedbackTrain and develop staff membersWork on multiple complex issues while communicating in a non-technical manner to facilitate communication between the client and the service team while managing the risk for both the client and the firmServe as the Tax client service coordinator for appropriate clientsAdvise clients on a full spectrum of corporate tax services, including planning, research, compliance, and general mergers and acquisitions activitiesReviewing research findings and ensure conclusions are consistent with firm policies and professional standardsAssist with new business development, extended service and tax issue recognition for existing clientsManage corporate client needs with respect to tax services and federal and state tax complianceRemain up-to-date on current tax practices and changes in tax lawOther duties as assignedSome travel may be required (varies based on location, line of business and client need)Basic Qualifications:5+ years of experience in business taxation working for a Big 4 or a large national, regional or local accounting firmBachelor's Degree in AccountingCPA, JD, LLM, or EAAbility to work closely with clients to answer questions or to collect necessary information for tax service requirementsExperience with one or more of the following: S-Corps, C-Corps, or PartnershipsEffective verbal and written communication skillsPreferred Qualifications:Working knowledge of tax code and technical aspects of tax preparation and complianceStrong technical skills in accounting and tax preparation, industry specialization a plusAbility to handle multiple tasks simultaneouslyExperience preparing or reviewing accounting for income taxes in accordance with ASC 740'sExperience in dealing with international tax matters a plusThe firm offers a competitive benefits package, base compensation, and an employee bonus program for eligible roles based on individual and firm performance per program guidelines. -Base compensation ranges can be found between the ranges noted below in the posting, -and an actual offer can vary based upon on role, hiring location, and qualifications. -For additional information on RSM's total rewards, visit our website at . -If required by applicable law or client policy, you may be required to be vaccinated for COVID-19 or have an approved accommodation.You
