Our business helps support their way of life and contributes to the survival of a culture that has thrived in a challenging environment. **RESPONSIBILITIES:** The Accounting Technician responsibilities include Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, account analysis, Payroll, and assistance with other accounting tasks. The Accounting Technician position is a support services position whose work routine is established and follows a set of procedures. It generally functions under close supervisory direction or guidance of the Accounting Manager. **ESSENTIAL DUTIES:** + Process monthly Accounts Receivable invoices for multiple airlines in accordance with their service contract. + Receiving and coding Accounts Payable invoices in SharePoint and assisting employees with Expense Report submissions. + Preparing payroll processing file for 200 employees. + Assisting with month-end journal entry accruals and reviewing accounts to ensure entries are suitable and balanced. + Auditing internal and external work related to budgets, common financial and payroll transactions. + Entering, revising, sorting, calculating, and creating tables using Microsoft Excel and other software databases. + Other related duties as assigned by supervisor. **Qualifications** **MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS** **POSITION REQUIERMENTS** + Bachelor's degree in Accounting Finance or relevant. + Experience with Deltek and Costpoint software systems. + Experience with Accounts Receivable functions in a computerized environment, including maintenance, preparation, data entry, collections, and reconciling accounts. + Demonstrate technical knowledge of accounting procedures and solid understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) + Ability to maintain confidentiality and a professional disposition at all times. + Extensive computer skills (familiarity with MS Word and Excel along with on-line banking software). Must be able to operate calculators and PC keyboards by touch. + Strong organizational skills with the ability to set priorities to assure deadlines are met. Results oriented with the ability to respond to the needs of the Company. + Must be able to work overtime occasionally to address business needs as requested. **PHYSICAL DEMANDS** : **Background position skill ranking areas:** **Language Skills:** + Read and interpret documents written in English such as financial procedure instructions. + Write routine reports and correspondence. **Math skills:** + Calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, etc. **Reasoning Abilities:** + Apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. + Deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations. **Physical Demands:** moderate The employee is regularly required to sit and use hands and fingers to operate a keyboard and telephone console. The employee is occasionally required to reach with hands and arms. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
